Quartz or granite?
Quartz is engineered stone: it does not need sealing and its color is even from one slab to the next. Granite is natural stone, more resistant to heat, and every slab is one of a kind.
Can quartz go outside?
Most quartz makers do not recommend it in direct sun, which can fade it. For outdoor kitchens we usually suggest granite or quartzite.
How thick are your countertops?
We work with 2 cm (about 3/4 inch) and 3 cm (about 1 1/4 inch) slabs. 3 cm is the usual choice for kitchens.
